The Greenhouse Connect App has been designed to bring our Coach-Mentors, young people and their families closer to the magic of the Greenhouse programme. 

It is a tool designed to give better visibility into the sessions available, reinforce the skills learned during the sport, and provide an improved way of getting honest and reliable feedback about those who matter most – the young people.

The app is available on both the App Store and the Google Play Store, and is available to every parent/guardian and young person.

We encourage all new and existing young people and their parents/guardians to download our app. We won’t bombard you with messages, but we encourage you to keep checking in and hearing from each Coach-Mentor in a safe and thoughtful way.

FAQs

How do I link my app and my children’s app?

Step 1: Download the app onto your phone

Step 2: Enter the email address you used to register your child (don’t worry if you can’t remember it, simply get in touch via the email address below, and we will work through it with you)

Step 3: If you have more than one child in Greenhouse, select which child you want to view

Step 4: Download the players app; this can be either on their phone, if they have one, or on your own device.

Step 5: Scan the QR code that pops up on the players app to give consent. If you have both apps on one device, simply click the ‘share my verification link’ and it will link your account to your child’s.

Why has Greenhouse created the Connect app?

We know that the impact through sport is huge for all the young people who commit to attending sessions regularly. Using sport as the hook, young people improve their social skills, confidence, resilience, and mental well-being. The app provides information about which sessions are available for the young people to attend, and gives them badges for their progression to inspire them to keep going!

Who is the app for?

There are two versions of the app, each suited to a different audience. Each parent/guardian has a version, where they can see information about their child’s Coach-Mentor, see the sessions that their child can attend, receive posts regarding the work their child has been doing with their Coach-Mentor and, on occasion, provide feedback through the app’s survey function so we know how the programme is valued and where things can improve.

The Players version is designed to make things clearer for young people and reinforce the positive developments they achieve through playing their sport. They can see sessions they have coming up, see posts from their coach, and receive badges and rewards from their Coach-Mentor to let them know how well they are doing. They will occasionally be asked to complete surveys, giving feedback to Greenhouse coaching and office staff to hear what they love about playing sport and where things could be improved.

Why did I not get an email to connect mine and my child’s account?

Sometimes there can be a delay. However, the email should be sent within 30 seconds or so. If you continue to have issues, please get in contact via email.

What notifications will I get through the app?

Notifications will come through once you have enabled them on the app.

They will only be sent once a week, as a round-up of the week. We do not want to encourage regular screen time for the young people, so we will only get in touch when there is something really cool or important!

How often will I be asked to re-consent my child to access their version of the app?

We will require you to re-consent to access once a year, or when there are changes to our privacy policy.

If my child stops attending Greenhouse sessions, what happens to our accounts?

The accounts will remain active for two full school terms after your child has stopped attending.
