The  Evening Standard has highlighted the work that Greenhouse Sports been carrying out throughout lockdown. The article shines a light on the  decision to transform  the Greenhouse Centre to a food bank during this pandemic while drawing attention to the impact our coaches and programmes have on so many young Londoners throughout the year. One interviewee is Coach Luca, one of a group of coaches powering our #HomeCoach online coaching and mentoring sessions to stay connected with our young people during lockdown and the huge disruption to normal life  caused by Covid 19.

I see sports coaching as a tool to get close to the girls and be a mentor figure. We teach them teamwork, to persevere and to handle disappointment.

Whilst everyone across the UK has been affected by Covid-19, the reality is that those from disadvantaged backgrounds will suffer the most. At Greenhouse Sports we are always looking for different ways to engage with young people and give them the support they need to develop their, social, thinking, emotional and physical skills.
