Hey all, Ingram here, Head Cricket Coach at Eastlea School.
My playing career took me through both sides of the world, playing at Clay Hall Cricket Club in Ipswich, and at Belfield Cricket Club in Victoria, Australia – where, as a team, we were able to win both the one- and two-day titles.
I started coaching in Melbourne, also winning the one- and two-day titles in Australia as a coach. It’s taken me all over the world, being able to work in Australia, Grenada, Nigeria, and now back to the UK.
The power of young people has always been clear to me. Due to a special young person’s encouragement, I opened a cricket academy in Nigeria in 2009, with the goal of spreading the joy of the sport – and the life lessons you learn through it – as far as possible. This led me to some of my biggest accolades, including partnerships with the Home Office in Africa and the National Community Champion award from Sky two years in a row.
Through my life, I’ve committed myself to the coaching and mentoring of young people, using the power of sport to help them reach their full potential. Greenhouse Sports has given me the best platform to do that, with a framework that works.
