Greenhouse Sports aims to develop life skills for young people in London’s most disadvantaged communities through outstanding, intensive sports programmes delivered by inspirational coaches. We use the power of sport to inspire and motivate young people so they can reach their full potential.
Our coaches work full time in mainstream secondary and Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools and community clubs to provide sport programmes across the capital that equip young people for life.
We are looking to recruit a qualified, skilled Table Tennis coach to launch a new programme at Addey & Stanhope School. Working closely with the PE Department, the coach will be based full-time in the school and will include the planning and delivery of a comprehensive, high-quality coaching and mentoring programme. You will plan and deliver breakfast, lunch time and afterschool clubs, peripatetic (1:1 or small groups) sessions, supporting some curriculum lessons (where agreed with the school) and develop regular competitive opportunities for all players. In addition, you will be required to develop holiday provision during the school holidays.
As a coach you will also work closely with the Impact Team to collect high-quality data to demonstrate the effectiveness of what we do and to quantify the difference we make to our young people. Data is collected at designated times throughout the year and includes; case studies, questionnaires, skills and fitness testing. Our coaches also review the young peoples’ progress and set targets for their future development.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilful and professional individual to work closely with the school. You will be highly passionate about the Greenhouse Sports mission, values and beliefs, helping young people learn and develop and will have strong experience of successfully delivering and project managing top quality Tennis programmes for young people aged 11-19 years old.
To be considered for this role you must possess a TTE / NGB Level 2 coaching qualification and have experience of working with young people in a school or club setting. You will demonstrate strong mentoring skills, as well as being a confident and capable IT user and will demonstrate excellent administrative and organisational skills needed to effectively plan and manage the programme and capture all relevant data in a timely manner.
