Greenhouse Sports was once again thrilled to be invited by Nomura to take part in their activities for City Giving Day 2017. City Giving Day, led by the Lord Mayor of London, encourages businesses to showcase their charitable efforts to employees, clients and the public. As a way to showcase all they do for their charity partners, Nomura invited us to their offices to engage with their employees over lunchtime, and then for over 100 young people to participate in a mass speed networking event.
Nomura currently supports our SEN programme at Swiss Cottage School. Therefore, to raise awareness of our partnership, two young people and a coach set up a stand over lunchtime to engage and speak with Nomura’s employees. Later in the afternoon, over 30 participants from four of our programmes attended the mass speed networking event, where they played ‘Employability Bingo’. This activity gave our young people the chance to network with 60 Nomura employees, asking them questions and advice on employability skills. Our young people found the activity extremely worthwhile, giving them a chance to network with multiple Nomura employees as well as with numerous young people from other charities.
Thank you very much to Nomura for having us!
