Charlotte’s attitude to learning had always been negative. Her poor behaviour, such as rudeness and answering back to both her teachers and peers alike, led to her consistently being on report and facing exclusion.
Through working with Greenhouse Coach Ashley, Charlotte has channelled her energy into table tennis and as a result has dramatically improved her behaviour and attainment at school. Coach Ashley receives weekly reports on her behaviour and does not allow her to take part in sessions if she has been in trouble that week. Charlotte’s desire to play table tennis motivates her to improve her conduct and stay focused during class.
Charlotte has enjoyed success in table tennis at a national level and even coaches her fellow participants. She is now a committed student and a positive role model to other pupils at her school.
