Great fun and new friends at multisports holiday programme

The organisers of the multisports Inclusive Holiday programme which took place on the 27th and 28th May at Finsbury Leisure Centre, would like to say a big ‘Thank You!’ to everyone who helped make the day possible. Danielle Tobiasinsky-Weems (Lead Coach at Richard Cloudesley School) and Charley McCumisky (Programme Coordinator), with help from Greenhouse London FC coaches Danny and Najib, hosted 30 young people from SEN and mainstream Greenhouse Sport programmes who enjoyed a range of sports, including power hockey, power football, badminton,  football and team-building games.
“A massive thank you to all the coaches who delivered, you showed great professionalism, flexibility and really demonstrated high quality coaching, with some fantastic inclusive activities,” said Danielle Tobiasinsky-Weems. “Thank you to all the helpers from Greenhouse’s Coach Core apprenticeship scheme, who mucked in and were very helpful. Thanks to the rest of the SEN support team, Greenhouse office staff and coaches for supporting groups and being great enthusiasts.”
The participants had a great time making new friends and developing the STEP framework skills. Here are a few quotes from the young people involved:
  • “I am up for doing this again, it’s fully inclusive which is great and there aren’t enough clubs that allow for that.”
  • “Best thing I have ever done!”
  • “Great variation for kids from all sorts of backgrounds.”

Well done everyone. We’re very much looking forward to the next Inclusive Holiday programme!
