Crowning our 2016 Greenhouse Sports table tennis champions!

Greenhouse Sports held its very first table tennis championships in December 2016 at Crest Academy. The Championship is the first of an annual end of year showcase event aimed at celebrating the high quality table tennis players that we have on our 12 table tennis programmes. The contestants were invited based on their high level of technical skill and their dedication to the sport. The students demonstrated their amazing commitment to table tennis by attending the Championships during their Christmas school holidays- not to mention at 8.30AM. Six Greenhouse Sports coaches volunteered during their spare time to help run the event, and Greenhouse Sports CEO John Herriman also came to watch.

Afterwards, John said, “I am always inspired when I watch sports played to such an incredibly high standard, and the table tennis competition was no exception. The great examples of skill, physical prowess and sportsmanship represented perfectly everything we aspire to for our young people at Greenhouse Sports. It was therefore a very proud moment to be able to present the winner’s trophy and to acknowledge the hard work of all those taking part.”
